WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?

Senior Division (10th,11th,12th grade)
Student participants present a monologue and a sonnet by Shakespeare. A winner from each school attends the competition in Louisville. The Branch winner is awarded an all- expense paid trip to New York City to represent Kentucky in the ESU National Competition at Lincoln Center. The national winner in NYC receives a three-week summer program at British American Drama Academy (BADA) in Great Britain. Attached is information and entry forms which can be downloaded and returned to the Kentucky Branch ESU in order to enroll your school in this exciting event.

Junior Division (7th, 8th, 9th grade)
This competition is designed to reward and encourage younger students understanding of Shakespeare and his universality. Students are offered an opportunity to bring Shakespeare to life in their own way and to express his words with feeling, understanding and clarity.
