The English-Speaking Union - Kentucky Branch is pleased to welcome The Lord Mayor of Leeds, William S. Hyde as our Sunday Brunch guest speaker in December. Leeds, England is currently Louisville’s “Friendship City” The Lord Mayor will visit Louisville with his wife, Lady Mayoress Patricia J. Hyde and a delegation of business and civic leaders on a mission intended to strengthen business and cultural ties between Louisville and Leeds.

The Lord Mayor will provide interesting insights into the relationship between Louisville and Leeds. Among those accompanying the delegation is Mr. Frank Griffiths, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Leeds Metropolitan University and Deputy Chair of the Leeds Initiative. Mr. Griffiths is a former English-Speaking Union scholar. Please make plans to join us and welcome Leeds to our city.

Brunch is served beginning at 12:00 Noon. The Lord Mayor will speak at 1:30 P.M.
